This paper analyzes the relationship between morphometric and morphological features and tectonic and spatial distribution of cinder cones of the Pico Viejo stratovolcano (PV), to explain the structure of the volcano. We studied 12 cinder or scoria cones in detail in order to define their morphometric (Wbco, wsco, Wbcr, wscr, Eco, Ecr, Aco) and geomorphological characteristics in relation to fractures distribution and orientation. These volcanoes show NE-SW elongated maximum crater and cone diameters. The azimuth of breaching (W) is controlled by the main fracture orientation in the zone and the substrate morphology. As well, we present a classification of cones based on morphological features
