    La siguiente crónica constituye una mirada diáfana sobre la vida y obra de Héctor Incháustegui Cabral al cumplirse un centenario del natalicio de este notable dramaturgo, ensayista, crítico y maestro banilejo. Es un recorrido por la memoria y los hallazgos de unos de los escritores medulares de las letras dominicanas. Su vasta obra se manifiesta como un testimonio de las luchas y agonías de la patria, de las angustias y las contradicciones bajo la sombra del poder, de la búsqueda espiritual y su esfuerzo por comprender las encrucijadas y complejidades de la dominicanidad.

    The following report is a transparent glance of the life of Héctor Incháustegui Cabral, a celebrated playwright, essayist, literary critic, and master from Baní (Dominican Republic) in view of the centenary of his death. It offers a summary of the memory and findings of one of the fundamental writers in Dominican literature. His vast work has manifested itself as a testimony of the shadows and agonies of the homeland, the anxieties and contradictions under the shadow of the political power, the spiritual search, and his visible effort to understand the dilemmas and complexities of all Dominicans.
