Resumen de Design Review: A Structured Approach

  • A structured approach is described to analyze the design of plant systems and equipment. The scope of the paper includes the design specification, and system, functional unit and component levels of design. The design review considers maintainability, reliability and all other parameters which contribute to the total performance of a plant. Specific analysis techniques are described with respect to their applicability to different stages in a design review exercise. The paper is concerned with a framework for a design review exercise and specific analysis methods which may be used or adapted as appropriate to meet the particular requirements of a company.
