La comunicación que presentamos no pretende más que contribuir con algunas breves pinceladas al mejor conocimiento del escultor montañés Manuel de Acebo quien, junto con otros paisanos y a falta de artífices vizcaínos dedicados a la estatuaria, es el encargado de poblar de imágenes gran parte de los retablos erigidos en nuestro solar durante el barroco siglo XVIII. De particular importancia es el inventario de bienes realizado tras su fallecimiento en la capital vizcaína pues nos aporta numerosos datos de interés acerca de su faceta personal y artística.

The paper we are presenting aims to contribute some brief details to make better known the figure of the montañes sculptor Manuel de Acebo, who, together with others from the same region and due to the lack of Biscay artisans dedicated to statuary, was made responsible for populating a great part of the altar-pieces of our site with images during the Baroque XVIII century. Of particular importance is the inventory of possessions that was made following his death in the capital of Biscay, since this provides us with numerous and interesting data about his personal and artistic facets.
