  In France, the missions of regional pharmacovigilance centres are to monitor, assess and prevent potential or proven medication risks and to promote the correct use of medicines. These organisations also play a role in informing and training health professionals whose involvement, by reporting adverse effects, is essential for the proper functioning of the national pharmacovigilance system.

  En France, les centres régionaux de pharmacovigilance ont pour missions de surveiller, évaluer et prévenir les risques médicamenteux potentiels ou avérés et de promouvoir le bon usage du médicament. Ces structures ont aussi un rôle d’information et de formation des professionnels de santé. L’implication de ces derniers, via les notifications, est indispensable au fonctionnement du système national de pharmacovigilance.
