This study of a French March 1993 televised political debate analyses the modalities of speech distribution — - theoretically, all participants have an equal amount of time — first in terms of classic concepts, then in terms of diaphony, a concept which designates the strategies by which an interlocutor takes a locutofs discourse into account in his own discourse (and vice-versa).
