  • Resumen
    • Of these four texts only Strand's deals with the relationship between prose and verse. However all question the relationship of poetry to the world, while they consider language — the prose of the world — to be part of reality. Furthermore, these texts are translations, and remind us that the question of translatibility arises at the same time as that of the relationship between poetry and prose. Wallace Stevens ' ' « An Academic Piece » considers that poetry articulates the network of relationships which « is » reality for us. Gunter Eich with « The Writer Confronted with Reality » considers poetry — and prose — essential in defining reality. Andrea Zanzollo s « Life of a Diary » imagines the diary of a diary reading itself. And an «Interview» of Mark Strand by Linda Orr, with fragments of prose or poetry, shows him use both in his work — if it is the desire for poetry that eggs him on.
