    La Bahía de Navidad está integrada por las localidades de Melaque y Barra de Navidad. Los cuales junto con otros municipios de la costa de Jalisco conforman la denominada marca turística “Costalegre”. Si bien el turismo es una actividad importante para la Bahía, la vocación productiva ha pasado de ser un puerto mercante a pueblo de pescadores y recientementedestino turístico. En este sentido, el turismo pudiera ser la actividad que detone el desarrollo de estas localidades,pero para lograrlo es necesariala articulación del clústermediante la marca y los demás destinosde la Costalegre; así como los encadenamientos entre los diferentessectoresproductivos.Lo que favorecería la participación delosdiferentes actores y la incidencia de políticas para eldesarrollo del sectorpara lograr que el sector turísticocontribuyaal desarrollo económico local

    The Bay of Navidad is made up of the towns of Melaque and Barra de Navidad. Which together with other municipalities of the Jalisco coast make up the tourist brand “Costalegre”. Although tourism is an important activity for the Bay, the productive vocation has gone from being a merchant port to a fishing village and recently a tourist destination. In this sense, tourism could be the activity that detone the development of these localities, but it is necessary to articulate the cluster through the brand and the other destinations of the Costalegre; as well as the linkages between the different productive sectors. What would favor the participation of the different actors and the incidence of policies for the development of the sector and thus make the tourism sector contribute to local economic development.
