Some people with an intellectual disability also present communication deficiencies. Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is a strategy to deal with such deficiencies. AAC exploits more than one communication channel to send messages. In this paper, we develop a collaborative system that uses AAC in the tablet to support the dialog of these people. This research uses design science research, participatory design, and the test case of Nielsen to evaluate the solution. The results show that the system allows the accomplishment of communication and it can be used in the classrooms to improve the educative way of people with intellectual disability.
