Resumen de Lenguaje y género: disputas en torno a la inclusión y la visibilización de las mujeres

El lenguaje, a partir del cual simbolizamos nuestra realidad, nos comunicamos y construimos el sentido de las cosas, ha sido históricamente uno de los espacios de los cuales las mujeres han sido excluidas. Las feministas han realizado intervenciones en las formas establecidas y aceptadas de manera irreflexiva del uso del lenguaje que provocaron y provocan reacciones virulentas y deslegitimadoras. Mi objetivo en este trabajo es por un lado mostrar las disputas entre, las voces autorizadas para hablar en nombre del buen uso del lenguaje y las voces disidentes que intentan cambiar la representación del mundo social modificando la manera en que se lo concibe y se lo nombra. Por otro lado, daré cuenta de algunas de las formas en que se ejerce violencia hacia las mujeres mediante en el uso sexista del lenguaje.

Language, which is the means to symbolize reality, to communicate, and to construct the meaning of things, has historically been one of the spaces from which women have been excluded. Feminists have made interventions on the thoughtlessly established and accepted forms of the use of language that have provoked fierce and delegitimizing reactions and continue to do so. The purpose of this paper is, in the first place, to show the disputes between the authoritative voices who can speak for the correct use of language, and the dissenting voices that attempt to change the representation of the social world by modifying the way in which it is understood and named. Secondly, I shall give an account of some of the ways in which violence against women is exercised through the sexist use of language.
