Resumen de Indústria de máquinas agrícolas: um panorama histórico da formação ao atual estágio de desenvolvimento

  This paper seeks to describe the history of the agricultural machinery industry from its origins to its current stage of development, with emphasis on the experience of the United States. Towards this goal, we utilized an analytical and descriptive methodology to summarize and interpret the existing bibliography while producing a timeline for this industry. The main conclusion of this work is that there were four industrial stages of development: the first phase was a pre-industrial age, the second was mass production with innovations, globalization through mergers and acquisitions dominated the third stage, and the current stage is one characterized by the integration of modern technology with precision agriculture. At the end of the article, we discuss points that require further research.

  O presente artigo tem como objetivo descrever o processo histórico da formação e desenvolvimento da indústria e do mercado de máquinasagrícolas, desde sua gênese até seu atual estágio de desenvolvimento, tendo como referência os Estados Unidos. Para tanto utilizou-seum método histórico analítico-descritivo, condensando e interpretando a bibliografia já existente para poder traçar uma linha do tempo detal indústria. Os principais resultados foram a periodização da indústria em quatro "eras" diferentes: a era pré-industrial, a da produçãoem massa e inovações, a fase da globalização e consolidação via fusões e aquisições e atual fase na qual a indústria busca integrar-seàs modernas tecnologias de agricultura de precisão. Ao fim são discutidas algumas lacunas ainda abertas nesse campo de estudo quenecessitam de respostas.
