  • Resumen
    • In the films, divas and stars become a need of the industry and an object of worship both for the audiences and the advertisers. Different from the rest of mortals, stars are treated as superlative creatures. In the making of stars, one of the key elements is the wardrobe, which reinforces and, at the same time, is part of their glamour. This article is about evening gowns and accessories worn by stars in a series of North and Latin American’s films. It discusses the way they are worn, the gestures involved and the environment surrounding them as well. The close relationship established between the star and the audiences is also shown in the way stars were imitated and adopted as models, not only of fashion but also of seduction and sociability.
