Resumen de Desaparece el barrio de Icària, nace la Vila Olímpica
Amongst the large scale urban transformation projects carried out in Barcelona as a result of holding the 1992 Olympic games, it highlights the demolition of the Icaria neighbourhood for the construction of what was the Olympic village. A demolition that didn't take into account or value any existing element and meant the loss of valuable industrial architectural heritage.
