The Nisa-Alburquerc¡ue batholith (294 ± 11 Ma) is composed of S-type granites and small stocks of I-type granitoids. The batholith was emplaced into a variety of country rocks (metasediments and metaigneous lithologies) of three different domains, namely, the southern Central Iberian zone, the Central Unit, and the northern Ossa-Morena Zone. Pressure and temperature during final emplacement is investigated by considering previous studies in the contact aureole and by comparing with P-T estimates based on the mineralogy, normative composition and geochemistry of the S-type granites.
On this ground, we proposed pressures of - 2,3 - 3 kbar, and temperatures of - 650 ºC as the most plausible ones during final emplacement of this batholith.
