Resumen de Algunas novedades bibliográficas sobre la guerra de los Cien Años

La Guerra de los Cien Años está de moda. En lo que llevamos de siglo hemos visto renacer el interés por este conflicto y convertirlo, especialmente para Inglaterra, en una suerte de laboratorio de investigación para el estudio de la guerra bajomedieval. Así, en los últimos años han aparecido interesantes estudios a tener en cuenta sobre distintos elementos de la práctica bélica y sus efectos, desde el estudio de campañas concretas, a reflexiones sobre la relación entre literatura y guerra o sobre la cultura del rescate. En las próximas páginas intentaremos trazar un esbozo de algunas de las últimas publicaciones al respecto.

The Hundred Years’ War is in style. So far this century, the interest on this conflict is on the rise. It has been turned into some sort of research lab for the study of late medieval warfare, most notably in England. For instance, a few interesting studies on medieval warfare during the Hundred Years’ War have been published in England in recent years, ranging from the analysis of specific military campaigns to reflections on topics such as the relationship between literature and war or ransom culture in wartime. In this paper, some of the latest publications on the Hundred Years’ War are thus tentatively analyzed.
