    El propósito principal de esta contribución es analizar, desde una perspectiva histórico-jurídica, las informaciones contenidas en los libros III y IV de las Historias de Agatías Escolástico referidas al proceso judicial de carácter público y sumarísimo instituido por el emperador Justiniano I (527-565), el cual tuvo lugar en el año 556 en Lázica como consecuencia del regicidio de su soberano Gubaces II (ca. 541-555).

    The principal purpose of this contribution is to analyze, from a combined historical-juridical perspective, the information contained within the third and fourth books of the Histories of Agathias Scholasticus referring to the judicial process of both public and summary nature instituted by emperor Justinian I (527-565), which was holded in 556 in Lazica as a consequence of the regicide of its sovereign Gubazes II (ca. 541-555).
