    La presente ponencia se centra en el análisis del registro visual realizado por los Hermanos Mayo.

    El barco Sinaia llegó al puerto de Veracruz en julio de 1939 con cientos de españoles que al igual que los Mayo buscaban asilo en el país. Los registros visuales a bordo del barco fueron realizados por los hermanos Francisco y Cándido Souza Fernández. Los diversos momentos registrados a lo largo de la travesía y el momento de su arribo a México nos permitirán acercarnos a la manera en que vivieron y observaron el viaje y su llegada al país, desde una mirada más íntima e identificada con el grupo de exiliados del cual formaban parte. Importantes registros que marcan el inicio de su amplia y fructífera trayectoria en el país y que han sido poco estudiados en las investigaciones sobre los Mayo antes de ser los Hermanos Mayo.

    The present paper focus on the analysis of the visual record realized by the Hermanos Mayo. The ship Sinaia came to the port of Veracruz in July, 1939 with hundreds of Spanish that as them In May they were looking for asylum in the country. The visual records on board of the ship were realized by the brothers Francisco and Cándido Souza Fernández. The diverse moments registered along the voyage and the moment of the arrive to Mexico they will bring us over to the way in which lived and observed the trip and the arrival to the country, from a look more intimate and identified with the group of exiles of which they were forming a part. Important records that they mark the beginning of their wide and fruitful path in the country and that have been little studied in the researches on the Mayo before being The Hermanos Mayo.
