The objective of this research is demonstrating the presence of monopolistic markets in sectors of the Colombian economy as agriculture, health, transportation and construction, which lead to social problems and the deterioration of the Colombian competitiveness. The results of the International Competitiveness Forum 2013 placed the country on the ranks 69 of 144 countries. This is because the prices of agricultural inputs have risen at a critical percentage for farmers, also, is the transport sector where gas prices are rising substantially, incomprehensible situation because the country is one of the largest mining and energy production in the region. Also, we find the construction sector, where the price of cement has become the most expensive of all the necessary input on this, and not to leave out the plight of the drugs, which some critics say the country is "cheapest a coffin that a medicine."
