  • This study traces different novelistic incarnations of the figure of the philosopher through the works of various writers at the period. Satanic and/or angelic, political and/or mystical, heir or loner, with or without disciples, fictional philosophers highlight the novelist's relation to philosophy and philosophy' s role in literature.
