    El artículo se propone el estudio de la producción poética de Delia Quiñónez, ganadora del Premio Nacional de Literatura Miguel Ángel Asturias de Guatemala en 2016. A pesar de ser una de las poetas más interesantes del panorama literario guatemalteco actual y a pesar de su papel activo dentro del grupo literario Nuevo Signo, la poesía de Delia Quiñónez es poco conocida en el extranjero y ha sido objeto de escasos estudios críticos también en Guatemala. El artículo se plantea rescatar su figura humana y literaria, para promover el estudio de su producción poética, que ha puesto en tela de juicio las ventajas del capitalismo y de la modernidad en Guatemala, evidenciando de manera lúcida sus peligros y sus contradicciones.

    The focus of this paper is the study of Delia Quiñónez’s poetry. Delia Quiñónez was the winner of the Miguel Ángel Asturias National Literature Prize of Guatemala in 2016. She is one of the most interesting poets of the current Guatemalan literary scene, but despite the value of her work and her active rol in the literary group Nuevo Signo, her poetry is almost unknown abroad and has had just a few critical studies in Guatemala. This paper aims to highlight her human and literary figure, to promote the study of her poetic production, which has questioned the advantages of capitalism and modernity in Guatemala, demonstrating lucidly its dangers and contradictions.
