Se hacía necesaria una película sobre la gesta de Baler. Sin embargo, conviene analizarla en detalle antes de emitir un juicio que conjugue la crítica cinematográfica con el carácter histórico y las pretensiones de la película.
Para ello está este artículo, que desde los ojos de un historiador reconocidamente poco cinéfilo, intenta ofrecer una visión general del filme.

It was necessary to make a film about the Baler ́s action. Whatever, we need to make it a detailed analysis before to write a sentence who joints the cinematographic critics with the historical fact and the film ́s intentions. By that is this article, that from an historiographer recognized with a very few cinemaphilia, tries to offer a general view for the film.
