La comunicación digital puede generar conocimiento favoreciendo un progreso en la historia humana como nunca antes había sucedido; o al contrario, como sucede en la práctica dominante de hoy en día, puede ayudar a crear la acumulación de poder en manos de unos pocos, favoreciendo la propagación de la ignorancia. El digital informático y el digital natural están destinados a encontrarse cuando las tecnologías que hoy consideramos nuevas se conviertan, por increíble que parezca, en viejas.
