    El teatro de calle ha sido poco considerado desde el ámbito académico. Sin embargo, es un poderoso frente de renovación para la escena de los siglos XX y XXI. En este artículo realizamos una panorámica de su evolución desde los años sesenta hasta hoy, teniendo en cuenta aspectos estéticos y dramatúrgicos. El teatro de calle contemporáneo ha generado nuevas formas participativas respecto al público y se convierte en un interesantísimo objeto de estudio para las nuevas metodologías de investigación escénica.

    Street Theatre has been undervalued by Academia. However, it is a powerful genre of renewal for the theatre of the 20th and 21th Century. In this article, we offer a panoramic view of its evolution from the 1960s until today taking into account aesthetics and dramaturgy. Contemporary street theatre has generated new participatory forms regarding the audience and become an interesting object of study for new performance research methodologies.
