Aunque la reciente Cumbre de Chicago de la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (OTAN) no se pudo hacer coincidir con una Cumbre del Consejo OTAN-Rusia, en la Declaración aprobada por los Jefes de Estado y de Gobierno de los países aliados se hacen múltiples referencias a la Federación Rusa y a diversos asuntos de interés común, lo que sin duda condicionará la relación bilateral en el futuro próximo.

In spite of the fact that the recent Chicago Summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) did not coincide with a NATO-Russia Council Summit, in the final Declaration endorsed by the Chiefs of State and Government of the allied countries there are many references both to the Russian Federation and to several topics of common interest, something that, without any kind of doubt, will condition the bilateral relation in the near future.
