La inclusión educativa desde los significados de los estudiantes con discapacidad motriz de una Universidad Tecnológica

    Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de analizar los significados que los estudiantes con discapacidad motriz construyen sobre la inclusión educativa como producto de las distintas interacciones sociales que han sostenido en su trayectoria educativa con el fin de enriquecer las iniciativas que se desarrollen en las Instituciones de Educación Superior. El método se fundamentó en la perspectiva del interaccionismo simbólico de Blumer (1982). Los participantes fueron cinco estudiantes de la Universidad Tecnológica del Sur de Sonora con discapacidad motriz. Los resultados obtenidos se construyeron a partir de las categorías de Igualdad y Bienestar. El estudio concluye que los estudiantes no se consideran personas con discapacidad, sino capaces de realizar cualquier actividad universitaria y laboral al igual que sus demás compañeros.

    This research has the objective of analyzing the meanings that students with motor disabilities build on educational inclusion as a product of the different social interactions they have sustained in their educational trajectory in order to enrich the initiatives that are developed in Higher Education Institutions. The method was based on the perspective of the Blumer’s symbolic interactionism (1982). The participants were five students of the Technological University of the South of Sonora with motor disability. The results obtained were constructed from the Equality and Wellbeing categories. The study concludes the students do not consider themselves as persons with disabilities, but capable of carrying out any university and work activity like their peers.
