Les construccions convencionalitzades en els casos clínics

    Els casos clínics (CC) constitueixen un gènere propi dels professionals sanitaris, caracteritzat per l’ús d’una terminologia i d’unes abreviacions específiques que encaixen amb els propòsits comunicatius del gènere i de la comunitat de pràctica. Juntament amb aquests recursos, hi podem trobar determinades construccions que no necessàriament contenen mots especialitzats, però que també caracteritzen aquest gènere. Es tracta d’estructures que se solen repetir amb unes formes idèntiques o molt similars en nombrosos CC i amb un mateix objectiu. Identifiquem aquestes construccions convencionalitzades aplicant un programari de gestió de corpus i d’anàlisi de textos a 115 casos clínics en català, castellà i anglès sobre afeccions mentals, provinents dels àmbits de la neurologia, la psiquiatria i la psicologia. En presentem les més destacades i les relacionem amb quatre de les mogudes retòriques analitzades per Helán: la justificació del cas; la presentació del cas; la presentació del pacient quant a la raó de la consulta o l’ingrés; la investigació del problema.

    The clinical case report (CCR) is a genre specific of healthcare professionals. It is characterized by the usage of specialized terminology and abbreviations that match the communicative purposes of the genre and the community of practice. Along with these resources, we find certain constructions that not necessarily contain specialized words, but that also characterize this genre. These structures are repeated with identical or similar forms in many CCR and with the same goals. We identify these conventionalized constructions applying a corpus browser to 115 CCR in Catalan, Spanish and English on mental disorders, from the fields of neurology, psychiatry and psychology. We present the most prominent ones and relate them to four of the rhetorical moves analysed by Helán: justification of the case; case presentation; presentation of the patient regarding the reason of admission; investigation of the problem.
