    Durante siglos el episcopado ha sido comprendido desde la categoría de sacerdote, realidad compartida con el presbiterado. Sin olvidar esta cuestión, el artículo pretende subrayar unas notas teológicas acerca de la persona del obispo, tal y como eran vividas en la antigüedad cristiana, y que siguen siendo fundamentales para comprender la naturaleza del episcopado hoy.

    For centuries the episcopacy has been comprised from the category of priesthood, a reality shared with the presbyterate. Without forgetting this question, the article pretends to underline some theological notes about the person of the bishop, as were lived in the Christian antiquity, and which remain fundamental to understand the nature of the episcopacy today.
