    Este artículo ofrece un análisis crítico de los textos de opinión sobre el cuarenta aniversario de la Constitución española publicados en los días 6 y 7 de diciembre de 2018 en ABC y los días 5 y 6 del mismo mes en tres diarios digitales: elconfidencial.com, eldiario.es e infoLibre.es. En el marco de esta celebración, se constató una lucha ideológica que tomó las formas de narrativas y contra-narrativas sobre el periodo de la Transición y la Constitución misma. El presente estudio analiza las características propias del relato instituido por los artículos de opinión y editoriales de ABC, que se presenta como una narrativa nostálgica y opuesta a la reforma constitucional, frente a los relatos diseminados en los tres diarios digitales que, en mayor o menor medida, cuestionaron el "mito" sobre la Transición y defendían, desde posiciones diferentes, la reforma constitucional como una solución a la crisis institucional en España.

    This article offers a critical analysis of all ‘op-ed’ columns related to the fortieth anniversary of the Spanish Constitution published in the daily ABC on 6 and 7 December 2018, and in three online newspapers: elconfidencial.com, eldiario.es and infoLibre.es, on 5, 6 and 7 December 2018. Within this celebratory context, an ideological competition developed which took the shape of narratives and counter-narratives around the period to transition to democracy after the death of Franco and the Constitution itself. This study presents and analyses the features of the grand narrative reproduced by ABC –hegemonic, nostalgic and opposed to constitutional reform– vis-à-vis the alternative narratives disseminated by the three digital dailies which, to a greater or lesser extent, advocated the need to reform the Constitution as the way of solving the Spanish institutional crisis.
