El hombre y la naturaleza en testimonios epigráficos de la Grecia Antigua.Un abordaje desde la Lingüística

    Como subraya Kwiatkowska (2001:15) a través de la historia el hombre siempre ha tenido una relación particular, más o menos próxima, con la naturaleza; y esa relación se manifiesta tanto en su modo de pensar o de hablar, como en su conducta.

    Así como los cuadros, los poemas, los variados textos literarios, científicos, históricos o filosóficos, revelan el pensamiento y el sentir de un grupo humano determinado respecto a su entorno natural, así también los documentos epigráficos expresan, de otra manera, su relación específica con la naturaleza.

    El presente trabajo pretende analizar en algunos de esos documentos el modo en el que los griegos antiguos se vincularon con su entorno natural.

    Junto a las consideraciones lingüísticas que ciertamente surgirán del análisis de las inscripciones, creemos que puede resultar sumamente significativo ese otro punto de vista, que brota en general a partir de cuestiones propias de la vida cotidiana, que las mismas reflejan.

    As Kwiatkowska (2001:15) points out throughout history, man has always had a particular relationship, more or less close, with nature; and that relationship manifests itself both in their way of thinking or speaking, and in their behavior. Just as the paintings, the poems, the varied literary, scientific, historical or philosophical texts, reveal the thought and feeling of a determined human group with respect to their natural environment, so the epigraphic documents express, in another way, their specific relationship with nature.

    The present work intends to analyze in some of these documents the way in which the ancient Greeks were linked to their natural environment.

    Along with the linguistic considerations that will certainly arise from the analysis of the inscriptions, we believe that this other point of view, which springs up in general from questions typical of daily life, that they reflect, can be extremely significant.
