Resumen de Los finales de la teoría: investigación y refundación

  En el presente trabajo, me propongo analizar los modos de construcción de dos intervenciones teóricas en torno a los “fines” de la crítica y la teoría literaria. En trabajos como “El fin de la literatura. Un ejercicio de teoría literaria comparada”, de Marcelo Topuzian; y Suturas. Imágenes, escritura, vida, de Daniel Link, se insiste en dos modos de cierre del discurso de la teoría, ya sea por vía de la historización de sus momentos y avatares institucionales o por la necesidad de un ejercicio de refundación de la disciplina. Consideraré la posibilidad de pensar que esos dos momentos son lógicos desprendimientos de un discurso teórico aún operante, que remite a la fundación de las cátedras de Teoría Literaria de la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras (UBA) en el período de la última restauración democrática (1984-1985); y revisaré los aportes de la llamada “estética de la negatividad” de Cristoph Menke para poder pensar un tipo de intervención al interior de esa masa discursiva que pueda seguir siendo relevante para un saber, supuestamente, perimido. Como parte de esa hipótesis, también recuperaré algunos momentos clave de la discusión en torno al concepto de “posautonomía”, de Josefina Ludmer, planteado por Miguel Dalmaroni en un artículo de la revista digital Bazar americano.

  In the present work I propose to analyze the construction methods of two theoretical interventions around the “ends” of Literary Criticism and Theory. In the article “El fin de la literatura. Un ejercicio de teoría literaria comparada”, by Marcelo Topuzian; and Suturas. Imágenes, escritura, vida, by Daniel Link, insist two ways of closing the discourse of Literary Theory, either through the analysis of the historicity of their moments and institutional vicissitudes; whether due to the need for an exercise to refund the discipline. I will consider the possibility of thinking that those two moments are logical detachments of a discourse still operative, that refers to the foundation of the chairs of Literary Theory in the period of the last democratic restoration (1984-1985); and I will review the contributions of the so-called “aesthetics of negativity” by Cristoph Menke to be able to think of a type of contribution within that discursive mass that can continue to provide interesting contributions to a knowledge, supposedly, out-dated. As part of that hypothesis, I will also recover some key moments of the discussion around the concept of “postautonomy” of Josefina Ludmer raised by Miguel Dalmaroni in an article in the digital magazine Bazar americano.
