Resumen de Política Social: aportaciones cientíicas disciplinarias

  No hay nada más estéril que una concepción de una disciplina cientı́ica o de un saber centrada sobre sı́ mismo, ya que contribuye a empobrecer, de una manera profunda, el bagaje cultural de la titulación y las perspectivas o la proyección cientı́ica de los futuros estudiantes.

  Vamos a estudiar el origen intelectual de los Servicios Sociales, es decir, la historia de su inserción en la Universidad y en las altas instituciones educativas, que nos va a servir para insertar la idea que tenemos del Trabajo Social en un horizonte lo más amplio posible, de modo que se pueda transcender el Trabajo Social a una visión amplia de la Reforma Social. Su distinción de otras disciplinas como es la Polı́tica Social, pese a que entre ambos conceptos ha existido una estrecha vinculación, se trata de dos saberes bien diferenciados. Para ello, descubriremos en su recorrido histórico que desde inales del siglo XIX, gracias al movimiento de ideas surgido, se determinó que la Polı́tica Social se erige como la matriz de la que se han desarrollado lo que conocemos como los Servicios Sociales.

  There is nothing more sterile than a conception of a scientiic discipline or of a knowledge centered on itself, since it contributes to impoverish, in a profound way, the cultural background of the degree and the perspectives or the scientiic projection of future students.

  We are going to study the intellectual origin of Social Services, that is, the history of its insertion in the University and in the high educational institutions, which will help us to insert the idea that we have of Social Work in a widest possible horizon , so that Social Work can be transcended to a broad vision of Social Reform. His distinction from other disciplines such as Social Policy, despite the fact that there is a close relationship between the two concepts, these are two very differentiated knowledge. For this, we will discover in its historical journey that since the end of the 19th century, thanks to the movement of ideas that emerged, it was determined that Social Policy stands as the matrix from which we have developed what we know as Social Services
