Resumen de Construcciones Sociales Juveniles Frente a la Diversidad Sexual

  El artículo constituye ua aproximación a las construcciones sociales de adolescentes de bachillerato, de dos ciudades del Ecuador, frente la diversidad sexual. Fue una investigación de corte cualitativo que interrogó la dimensión sexual y afectiva en el contexto escolar. Para la compresión del fenómeno de estudio, se sustentó en cuatro teorías; para efectos del presente artículo solo se presentarán dos: la Teoría de la Construcción Social de la Realidad y la del Interaccionismo Simbólico. Debido a la amplitud de los hallazgos solo se presentarán en torno a las construcciones sociales desde la interacción de las y los adolescentes y sus conocimientos y prácticas frente a la diversidad sexual. Entre los resultados se encontró que la mayoría de los conocimientos han sido construidos en su interacción con sus grupos de pares, dentro de la institución educativa. Además, la forma en que han construido sus concepciones sobre diversidad sexual, ha originado prácticas de discriminación hacia los diversos sexualmente, así como también que asuman su sexualidad a partir de la influencia de los otros exponiéndose a factores de riesgo para su salud sexual y reproductiva. Sus prácticas sexuales, su vivir erótico-afectivo es una mezcla entre: el miedo a ser aceptado o no y la presión social del otro igual, la familia y los docentes.

  The article constitutes an approach to the social constructions of adolescents in their last year of high school, from two cities in Ecuador, facing sexual diversity. Unveiled from a qualitative research that questioned the sexual and affective dimension of youth development in the school context. To understand the study phenomenon, the research was based on four theories; for the purposes of this article, only two will be presented, the Theory of the Social Construction of Reality and the Symbolic Interactionism. Due to the magnitude of the findings only the results will be presented, and therefore the theoretical entries about social constructions from the interaction of adolescents and their knowledge and practices regarding sexual diversity. Among the results it was found that most of the knowledge that the students have, has been constructed in their interaction with their peer groups within the educational institution as one of their main spaces for secondary socialization. Furthermore, the way in which they have constructed their conceptions of sexual diversity has led to practices of discrimination against the sexually diverse, as well as assuming their sexuality from the influence of others, exposing themselves to risk factors for their sexual and reproductive health. His sexual practices, his erotic-affective living is a mixture between the fear of being accepted or not, the social pressure of the equal other, the family and the teachers.
