    El objetivo de este artículo es reflexionar sobre la capacidad humana para destruir al otro que nos refleja una diferencia. Tanto a nivel individual como colectivo construimos ideales yoicos los cuales buscamos perpetuar y extender mas allá de nuestros dominios personales o sociales. Cuando estos ideales son confrontados por otro que opera como des-semejante, genera deseos de aniquilamiento y/o posesión. El homicidio y la guerra son expresiones de estos deseos de destrucción del otro, en el cual se busca preservar la integridad de la unidad del Yo frente a la fragmentación de la unidad del diferente. El efecto devastador de la pulsión de muerte logra ser contenido y revertido por el otro par que constituye el núcleo de la humanidad para Freud, la pasión erótica

    The aim of this article is to think about the human capacity to destroy the other that reflects a difference. Both individually and collectively we build self ideals which we seek to perpetuate and extend beyond our personal or social domains. When these ideals are confronted by another that operates as a dissimilar, it generates desires for annihilation and/or possession. Homicide and war are expressions of these desires for the destruction of the other, in which it seeks to preserve the integrity of the unity of the Ego again of the fragmentation experienced in the face of the different. The devastating effect of the death drive manages to be contained and reversed by the other pair that constitutes the core of humanity for Freud, the erotic passion.
