El artículo editorial de este número 8/5 de la Revista Boletín Redipe argumenta tres tesis sobre las cuales desarrolla los enunciados expresos en el título del mismo: LA PEDAGOGÍA NO ES LA FILOSOFÍA Y LA FILOSOFÍA NO ES LA FILOSOFÍA DE LA EDUCACIÓN. Estas son las siguientes: el desarrollo administrativo de la cátedra de pedagogía no es el de la cátedra de filosofía; la pluralidad de investigaciones teóricas del campo de la educación es un hecho en la construcción del conocimiento de la educación y en la pedagogía como carrera; las disciplinas científicas y las disciplinas académicas sustantivas pueden generar disciplinas aplicadas. Hay pedagogía aplicada y hay filosofía de la educación que es filosofía aplicada.
Los siguientes artículos representan un aporte igualmente importante para potenciar los procesos de formación. Es el caso de la esperanzadora educación prenatal. De la relación y tensiones entre competencia emocional, bienestar personal y estilo educativo. De la práctica de mindfulness. De la inteligencia y la educación emocional. De la atención temprana en niños con trastorno. De la formación para la paz desde educación inicial. De la heurística en el aprendizaje y el accionar frente a algunos desafíos de la educación superior.
