Resumen de El método fenomenológico en el debate contemporáneo

  Este estudio se ocupa del problema del método en la fenomenología: una tradición de pensamiento que ha sido particularmente incisiva en la determinación del método apropiado para la investigación filosófica. Para la fenomenología, el método constituye un asunto fundamental dado que le provee a la investigación filosófica un ámbito de investigación propio y, correlativamente, unos temas y problemas que han de demarcarse de aquellos que pertenecen a las ciencias naturales. La fenomenología pretende haber descubierto una dimensión autónoma que solamente puede ser investigada merced al cambio de actitud (Einstellung) que precisamente el método le ha descubierto. Sin embargo, la fenomenología ha enfrentado resistencia desde su mismo origen y ha tenido que hacerle frente a una serie de objeciones acerca de la propia posibilidad de su método de investigación. Por ello, la exposición sobre el método se llevará a cabo al hilo del debate contemporáneo sobre los usos apropiados de la filosofía fenomenológica y de la dimensión que pretende haber descubierto.

  This study deals with the problem of method in phenomenology––a rather incisive philosophical tradition with regard to the determination of the proper method belonging to philosophical research. For phenomenology, the question concerning the method of philosophy is fundamental given that it provides philosophy with its own research field and its own themes and problems which need be demarcated from those pertaining to the natural sciences. Phenomenology claims to have discovered an autonomous dimension which can only be investigated at the behest of an attitudinal change (Einstellung) uncovered precisely by its method. However, phenomenology has faced staunch resistance from its very beginning as well as a series of critical objections about the very suitability of its method. Therefore, the exposition of the phenomenological method will be carried out in the context of the contemporary debate on the appropriate uses of phenomenological philosophy as well as with regard to the dimension that phenomenology claims to have discovered.
