Resumen de Aplicación del Test de Endósmosis en la evaluación del semen de carnero preservado encondiciones de campo

  En la evaluación del semen de carnero los parámetros objetivos son escasos. No obstante, existen pruebas como el Test de Endósmosis, que permitirían estimar el potencial de la capacidad fecundante del semen preservado. El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la correlación del Test de Endósmosis con otros parámetros de calidad de semenovino antes y después de su preservación y determinar la aplicabilidad de esta prueba en predecir su aptitud para ser preservado. Se utilizaron 20 carneros, muestreados en época reproductiva y se evaluó: motilidad espermática,vitalidad, morfología e integridad funcional de membrana en semen fresco, refrigerado y congelado. Se observó correlación positiva y significativa entre motilidad espermática y espermatozoides positivos al Test de Endósmosis yvitalidad entre semen fresco y semen preservado. La funcionalidad de membrana se evaluó objetivamente con el Testde Endósmosis, y se clasificó a los carneros de acuerdo con los valores de éste en semen fresco. Considerando losprotocolos utilizados, es posible inferir una correlación entre el Test de Endósmosis para el semen refrigerado y el semen fresco, no así con el semen criopreservado.

  In the evaluation ram semen there are few objective parameters. Further we have tests like the HyposmoticSwelling test that will allow to estimate the potential of fertility capacity of preserved semen, it is useful to analyze itsrelationship with semen conditions for preservation. The aim or this study was to evaluate the correlation ofendosmosis test with another parameters of quality of ram semen, before and after its preservation period, and todeterminate the applicability of this test to predict the aptitude of this semen to be preserved. Twenty rams were usedand sampled during the breeding season and to evaluated sperm motility, vitality, morphology and membranefunctional integrity, in fresh, refrigerated and frozen semen. It is noted positive and significant correlation with spermmotility and positive sperm to Hyposmotic Swelling test and vitality between fresh semen and preserved semen.Membrane functionality was evaluated objectively with endosmosis test, and rams were classified according to thevalues in fresh semen. Considering the protocols used, it is possible to infer a correlation between Hyposmotic Swellingtest for refrigerated semen and fresh semen, not so with cryopreserved semen.
