Resumen de Um estudo do hábito de leitura e nível de letramento informacional dos discentes do curso de Biblioteconomia da UFMT/CUR

  This article presents the results of the research carried out in 2017 in the Undergraduate Course in Librarianship at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT), Rondonópolis University Campus, as a requirement to complete the course. The research sought to investigate the behavior of students in the 1st year of the Library Science course in relation to reading. 22 subjects participated in this research. The type of research employed was the case study, with a qualitative approach. For data collection, a questionnaire was used. The basis of the research was based on the ideas of Tourinho (2011), Brito (2010), Farias (2010), Silva, Andrade and Euclydes (2007) and others. The concepts discussed by these authors were reading, reading at the university, among others. The data revealed that although the participating subjects report having 100% reading frequency and 82% claiming to like to read, more than half have difficulties in interpreting and understanding a text, therefore, it can be said that understanding what is read is not effective.

  O presente artigo apresenta os resultados da pesquisa realizada em 2017 no Curso de graduação em Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT), Campus Universitário de Rondonópolis, como exigência de conclusão do curso. A pesquisa buscou investigar o comportamento dos alunos do 1º ano do curso de Biblioteconomia em relação à leitura. Participaram desta pesquisa 22 sujeitos. O tipo de pesquisa empregado foi o estudo de caso, com abordagem qualitativa. Para a coleta de dados utilizou-se de questionário. A fundamentação da pesquisa, foi alicerçada nas ideias de Tourinho (2011), Brito (2010), Farias (2010), Silva, Andrade e Euclydes (2007) e outros. Dentre os conceitos discutidos por estes autores estão leitura, leitura na universidade. Os dados revelaram que apesar dos sujeitos participantes relatarem ter 100% de frequência de leitura e 82% afirmarem que gostam de ler, mais da metade tem dificuldades em interpretar e compreender um texto, portanto, pode-se dizer que o entendimento do que se lê não é efetivado.
