Resumen de Una posible transformación del acceso a la maqsura de al-Hakam II en la mezquita de Córdoba durante el gobierno de al-Mansur

  En dos trabajos precedentes nos hemos referido a la ampliación de al-Hakam II en la mezquita de Córdoba, haciendo especial mención de la gran maqsura que abarcaba las tres naves centrales. También hemos planteado en ellos cómo las formas existentes en la zona de la maqsura y el mihrab de época emiral debieron ser tenidas en cuenta por el nuevo monarca a la hora de configurar su ampliación y especialmente los primeros tramos de las tres naves centrales. Es precisamente el más oriental de estos –donde con el tiempo se instalaría la Capilla Real– el objeto de la investigación que ahora abordamos, centrándonos en la transformación que, con posterioridad a al-Hakam II pero aún en época islámica, le otorgaron una fisonomía renovada y seguramente una nueva función.

  We have already referred to the expansion of Al-Hakam II in the Mosque of Cordoba in two previous papers. Herein we focused on the great maqsura covering the three central naves and also discussed that existing forms of the maqsura and the mihrab of times of the Emirate should probably have been taken into account by the new monarch when setting its expansion and especially the first sections of the three central naves. The investigation that we will carry out here will be precisely centered on the most easterly of these, where in a later moment the Capilla Real would be installed. We will focus on the transformation of the nave, after al-Hakam II but still in the Islamic period, when it was awarded with a renewed appearance and surely a new role.
