Resumen de Hermanados en la sangre: representaciones artísticas e interpretaciones del hecho martirial en Saint Seiya

La marcada arista ‘agresiva’ que sobrevoló al manga y al anime japonés durante su primera época de difusión latinoamericana marcó profundamente su recepción. No obstante, en la mayoría de los casos –y, particularmente, en Saint Seiya, objeto de este estudio–, esa violencia intenta mostrar la moralidad de los protagonistas. Esperamos demostrar, entonces, que tales características tienen un abanico de puntos en común con el prototipo del mártir occidental; con los hoplitas de la Grecia antigua y con los antiguos samurái.

The clear ‘violent’ aspect that overflew Japanese manga and anime during the first years of its Latin American broadcasting deeply marked the viewer’s acceptance. Nonetheless, in most productions –and particularly in Saint Seiya, subject-matter of this study–, such alleged violence tries to show its characters’ morale. Therefore, what we expect to demonstrate herein that said characteristics have a wide range of points in common with the western martyr prototype, the hoplitai from Ancient Greece and the samurai warriors.
