  • Resumen
    • The time-dependent behavior of an angle-ply cylindrical shell in cylindrical bending is investigated based on the state-space formulations. Both the interfacial diffusion and sliding are taken into account to describe the interfacial imperfections. In particular, a variable substitution technique is employed to establish the state equations with constant coefficients. Very different from the approximate methods adopted in the existent works, the exact solutions are obtained in the time domain by solving a set of differential equations. Comparison study with the existing results as well as the numerical computations by the finite element method validates the efficiency and accuracy of the present analysis. The further numerical results indicate that the laminated shell may lose partly the load-bearing capacity, and the coupling effects of the interfacial diffusion and sliding should be considered carefully for the laminated structures with imperfect interfaces.
