Voy a ejemplificar el cambio de las creencias políticas dominantes en una sociedad mediante dos contextos paralelos: la Gran Depresión de mil novecientos veintinueve y la Gran Recesión de dos mil ocho. La primera queda reflejada en el cine de Frank Capra y la segunda en los eslóganes del movimiento 15 M.
Ambos presentan tremenda similitud, más allá de un simple paralelismo, porque las creencias en la justicia, igualdad, solidaridad, honradez y participación política, obedecen a contextos de crisis económica. De ahí las coincidencias entre las consignas del 15 M y las historias narradas por Capra.

I am going to show the change of the dominant political ideologies of a society by using two similar contexts: the Great Depression of 1929, and the Great Recession of 2008. Frank Capra’s movies portrait the first event, and the 15M movement or Spanish anti-austerity movement’s mottos portrait the second event.
There is a huge resemblance between the two events, further than just a simple parallelism, since both of them took place during an economic crisis, which determined the justice, equality, solidarity, honesty and political participation of the two events. The similarity between the stories shown in Capra’s movies and the 15M movement’s slogans, can be explained by this resemblance.
