Resumen de Procedimiento De Diseño Estructural Con Base En Las Nsr-98, Errores, Ejemplos Y Propuestas De Actualización

  En este trabajo se realiza un estudio del Título C de las Normas Colombianas de Diseño y Construcción Sismo Resistente, NSR-98 (Ley 400 de 1997 y sus decretos reglamentarios) , dedicado al diseño y construcción de estructuras de hormigón estructural, y de los aspectos más importantes que con éste se relacionan en los Títulos A y B. El Decreto 1400 de 1984 reglamentó el primer código para construcciones que tuvo Colombia, el Código Colombiano de Construcciones Sismo Resistentes, CCCSR-84, elaborado con base en el trabajo del Comité AIS-100 de la Asociación Colombiana de Ingeniería Sísmica, AIS, y creado por orden presidencial a raíz de los importantes daños causados en Popayán por el sismo de 1983 [8]. Este código, que se utilizó por más de 14 años, se reemplazó con la actualización que la AIS preparó en su versión AIS-100-97, y que se instituyó mediante la Ley 400 de 1997, reglamentada por los decretos 33 de 1998, 34 de 1999, 2809 de 2000 y 52 de 2002. Para poner en perspectiva el trabajo, se revisan las principales diferencias entre las NSR-98 y el CCCSR-84, destacando los aspectos nuevos introducidos con la actualización y detallando los cambios específicos que la nueva versión trajo al Título C, dedicado al diseño y construcción de estructuras de hormigón estructural.

  In this work, Title C, and of some aspects related to it in Titles A and B, of the Colombian standards for earthquake resistant design and construction, NSR-98 (Law 400 of 1997 and their regulation ordinances) are reviewed and studied. Title C of NSR-98 is dedicated to the design and construction of structures of structural concrete,. Decree 1400 of 1984 regulated the first Colombian code for earthquake resistant constructions, the Colombian Earthquake Resistant Design and Construction Code (Código Colombiano de Construcciones Sismo Resistentes), CCCSR-84, based on the work of Committee AIS-100 of the Colombian Association of Seismic Engineering, AIS, and created by presidential order soon after important damages caused in Popayán by the earthquake of 1983. This code, employed for more than 14 years, was updated by AIS-100-97, a AIS 100 committee document, which became Law 400 of 1997, regulated by decrees 33 of 1998, 34 of 1999, 2809 of 2000 and 52 of 2002. To place the work into perspective, main differences between the NSR-98 and the CCCSR-84 are iodentified, highlighting the new aspects introduced with the update and detailing the specific changes that the new version brought to the Title C, dedicated to the design and construction of structures of structural concrete.
