    La Guerra Civil española es el preámbulo de las dos guerras mundiales, un momento clave en la política mundial del siglo xx. La película La trinchera infinita está situada en este momento histórico, en la dinámica de este conflicto. La película proporciona claves para leer esta realidad social y profundizar en las razones de esta confrontación. El cine permite dar el salto de la mirada macro a la visión subjetiva de los fenómenos. Qué óptica introduce el cine para abordar esta la realidad, cómo reelabora las interpretaciones existentes sobre la guerra, qué elementos de juicio introduce para evaluar la participación de los sujetos en el conflicto: el artículo responde estas preguntas. El aporte principal de la película es cambiar de perspectiva, centrar la guerra en la vida del personaje (en su microcosmos y su vida cotidiana) y ver cómo padece los efectos del conflicto, cómo la violencia que lo acompaña altera su modo de vida.

    The Spanish Civil War is the preamble to the two world wars, a key moment in 20th century worlds politics. The movie The Endless Trench is located at this historical moment, in the dynamics of this conflict. The film provides clues to read this social reality and search through into the reasons for this confrontation. Movies makes it possible to make the leap from the macro gaze to the subjective vision of phenomena. What perspective does the cinema introduce to approach this reality, how does it rework the existing interpretations of war, what elements of judgment does it introduce to evaluate the participation of the subjects in the conflict? The article answers these questions. His main contribution: changing perspective, focusing the war on the character’s life (in his microcosm and his daily life) and seeing how he suffers the effects of the conflict, how the violence that accompanies it alters his way of life.
