Resumen de Tras las huellas del patrimonio arquitectónico en la región de occidente de Costa Rica

  Este artículo considera aspectos generales relacionados con el patrimonio arquitectónico, en particular sus huellas y vestigios; así como las principales edificaciones que han logrado perdurar en la epidermis de la Región de Occidente de Costa Rica. En este sentido, se realiza un inventario de los edificios con valor patrimonial que existen en la región objeto de estudio, así como los diseños, formas y estilos arquitectónicos predominantes.

  Cabe destacar que con en el trabajo que se presenta, además de sistematizar la riqueza de este patrimonio tangible, también se establecen vínculos que posibilitan una mayor cercanía con los procesos históricos que gestaron el desarrollo social, económico y cultural; así como los aspectos que coadyuvaron a fraguar las identidades culturales e idiosincrasia de los pobladores de esta región del país.

  This article considers general aspects of the architectural heritage, particularly the tracks and traces, as well as the main buildings that were able to survive in the epidermis of the Western Region of Costa Rica. Taking this into account, we have made an inventory of buildings with patrimonial value, as well as the designs, shapes, and the kind of the predominant architectural styles that exist in the region under study.

  It is relevant to mention that with this work, besides systematizing the wealth of this tangible heritage, there were also links established that made possible an approach to the historical processes that gave birth to the social, economical and cultural development, by the same token aspects that contributed to forge cultural identities and the idiosyncrasy of the people in this region.
