  • Resumen
    • A study over twenty-two northeast trending fault propagation folds has been performed. A portian of the fold and thrust belt, affecting the Cretaceous sediments located in the northern side of the Spanish Central System, has been mapped. In arder to know the fold geometry, the Suppe & Medwedeff (1990), Jamison (1987) and Chester & Chester (1990) methods were applied and the obtained results were compared. The study has demonstrated that the values obtained from the synclinal structure, when the anticline is not present, whether are comprised into a wide rank of values, or differ in a number of degrees quite important respect to the results obtained from the values measured in the anticline. This differences must be taken into account for calculation of the fault geometry in this type of structural environments.
