    El presente trabajo tiene como propósito compartir algunas reflexiones desde la ética frente a las víctimas y desde la experiencia mexicana en torno a los alcances y límites en la instrumentación de estrategias que se utilizan por parte del Estado mexicano en lo relativo a la desaparición de personas en México. Estas reflexiones tienen sustento a partir del análisis de algunas cifras y otros datos derivados de acontecimientos constantes que han llamado la atención de las instituciones internacionales en materia de derechos humanos. Se concluye que, no obstante el esfuerzo del gobierno de México en este delicado asunto, han sido las organizaciones civiles, instituidas en nuestra reserva moral frente al fenómeno, quienes realmente han contribuido de manera sustantiva y operativa en la búsqueda de desaparecidos

    The purpose of this work is to share some reflections from the ethics in front of the victims and from the Mexican experience around the scope and limits in the implementation of strategies that are used by the Mexican State regarding the disappearance of people in Mexico. These reflections are based on the analysis of some figures and other data derived from constant events that have attracted the attention of international human rights institutions.

    It is concluded that, despite the efforts of the Mexican government in this delicate matter, it has been the civil organizations, instituted in our moral reserve against the phenomenon, who have really contributed in a substantive and operational way in the search for the disappeared
