  • Resumen
    • This article presents a case study evaluation of some components of a suite of computer‐assisted learning materials known as GeotechniCAL which were developed under the Teaching and Learning Technology Programme (TLTP) initiative. The approaches used for different aspects of evaluation are outlined and the procedures used to evaluate two packages are presented. These involve both formative and summative evaluations with students and tutors. Formative evaluations proved useful as a means of feeding back to developers during the project. Summative evaluations were used to identify whether the final product was seen to be useful.
