Resumen de Títulos de profesor veterinario: el caso del Toledano Saturnino Lorenzo y Martin

  En el Archivo General de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (AGUCM) se conservan documentos sobre Saturnino Lorenzo y Martín, natural de la localidad de Gerindote, provincia de Toledo. Siendo alumno del Real-Colegio Escuela de Veterinaria de Madrid en diciembre de 1808 sufrió, junto a profesores y compañeros, el asalto a la misma por parte de las tropas francesas. Terminada la Guerra de la Independencia, y para ocupar una plaza vacante de veterinario en su pueblo natal, necesitaba el título de Profesor Veterinario o una certifcación de haber sido alumno de la Escuela. Los documentos analizados revelan el proceso seguido para obtener el título de Profesor Veterinario por alumnos que no habían concluido estudios a causa de la invasión francesa. Se aportan datos sobre los alumnos de apellido Lorenzo, naturales de Gerindote (Toledo), matriculados en la Escuela entre 1793 y 1893

  In the General Archive of the Complutense University of Madrid (AGUCM) there are documents about Saturnino Lorenzo and Martín, a native of the town of Gerindote, province of Toledo. Being a student of the Royal College of Veterinary School of Madrid in December 1808, he suered, along with professors and companions, the assault on it by the French troops. Aer the Peninsular War, and to occupy a vacancy as a veterinarian in his hometown, he needed the title of Veterinary Professor or a certification of having been a student of the School. e analysed documents reveal the process followed to obtain the title of Veterinary Professor by students who had not completed studies because of the French invasion. Data are provided on the students of surname Lorenzo, natives of Gerindote (Toledo), enrolled in the School between 1793 and 1893
