Con esta reseña crítica a la obra de José Ortega y Gasset pretendo mostrar cómo en la obra de juventud del filósofo español aparecen las ideas fundamentales que constituirán su raciovitalismo. En ella, Ortega realiza un recorrido por la historia de la filosofía poniéndolo en paralelo con la historia del arte pictórico con el objetivo de darle legitimidad teórica a la idea de la razón vital como método para el acceso al fundamento último de la realidad: la vida. Porque en esta obra Ortega defiende a través de un trabajado ejemplo que la historia tiene un fundamento vital.

In this critical review of the work of José Ortega y Gasset, I try to show how in the early work of the Spanish philosopher, the fundamental ideas of his ratiovitalismare shown. In it, Ortega takes a tour through the history of philosophy, putting it in parallel with the history of pictorial art with the aim of giving theoretical legitimacy to the idea of vital reason as a method of access to the ultimate foundation of reality: life. Because in this work Ortega defends through a worked example that history has a vital foundation.
