  En las últimas décadas, ha destacado el desarrollo de la llamada nueva museología, una corriente que busca la democratización de los valores y de los productos culturales. Los museos han cambiado su centro de interés: del objeto expuesto fríamente han pasado a tener como objetivo principal llegar a todos los públicos. El visitante se entiende como destinatario, como usuario, como eje vertebrador que debe dar sentido a las propuestas. Los museos de Esplugues han dado un giro importante en esta línea. El objetivo de la comunicación es compartir cómo hemos hecho este camino, valorar los resultados y reflexionar sobre las incógnitas de futuro.

  At the beginning of XXI century, the Social Museology has stood out as increasing trend on museology. This cultural current works on the democratization of values and cultural products. Museums have changed their focus of interest, from the object exposed to the publics. Currently, visitors are understood as an active user and not as a passive viewer, and Museums look for new proposals and ways to arrive and impact to them. The Museums of Esplugues have adapted and addressed their exhibitions and activities to this new paradigm. The goal of this report is to share how they have planned this transition, how they evaluate and analize these changes. and how they face the future.
